English Assessment Test For International Students

CSAL has an admissions policy as outlined within the application form.  Students will assessed for the academic and language proficiencies through the review of academic documents, personal interviews and English entrance exams – TOEFL and / or IELTS.  Due to our partnership with Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning we will be adopting their admissions criteria as a benchmark for accepting students into CSAL.

All students who do not submit a TOEFL or IELTS score are subject to the CSAL English placement test. It is possible for students to be accepted into CSAL who have not completed their international English language proficiency test such as TOEFL.  These students will need to successfully complete their test and achieve at least a 550 TOEFL before they complete their diploma at CSAL.

The CSAL English placement test will provide a benchmark for matching the students learning needs with CSAL English for Academic Purposes program.
